Dr. Sean Biggs, Medical Director of Alaska Vein Care, joined us after completing a Vascular & Interventional Radiology Fellowship at University of Maryland following his Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Medical School at University of New Mexico. Dr. Biggs has a special interest in caring for patients with complex venous disorders, particularly those suffering from chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins.
As an Interventional Radiologist, Dr. Biggs specializes in minimally invasive image-guided procedures utilizing innovative techniques and technologies. He uses such techniques to safely and effectively provide targeted therapies in the office without the need for large surgical incisions, resulting in optimal results with accelerated recovery times. In patients with symptomatic varicose veins, these minimally invasive treatments can provide prompt relief of symptoms and aesthetic improvement, positively impacting self-image and daily function.
Having trained with leaders in the field of Interventional Radiology and pioneers in endovenous treatment, Dr. Biggs is excited to provide his expertise to Alaskans!
